Ingredients

2 x 400g tinned chopped tomatoes
- 1 onion-chopped
- 1 celery-chopped
- 3 cloves garlic-chopped
- 60ml olive oil
- 2tsp tomato paste
- 1tsp paprika
- 2tsp brown sugar
- 3tsp vinegar
- 1/2 fresh chilli
- 400ml water
- salt and pepper top taste
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Heat medium pan over high heat for 1min. Add olive oil and all the vegetables and garlic. Season and fry for 5mins without colouring.
Step 2
Add tomato paste, paprika, chilli and brown sugar. Cook for 2mins.
Add the rest of the ingredients and season lightly with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.
Step 3
Reduce temperature to medium and simmer for between 30-40mins.
Season to taste.
